Oil is leaking from the engine onto cooling system. A recall has been issued on vehicle make and model. However, this vehicle has not been included due to VIN. Manufacturer has been notified.
Engine is leaking oil and is not considered to be under recall 96V006000 for this type of vehicle. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
Manufacture knows of problem and will not put a recall on an item that has an impact on the enviroment. What kind of company sells items that failand not fix it right? no safety defect listed in summary.
Recall 96 V 006 000. Vehicle is leaking oil from galley plug. This vehicle is not included in recall due to VIN. Manufacturer notified. Engine had massive amount of oil leaking, engine caught fire and consumer burned her hand, there was $2800 worth of damage, mecahnic replaced gully plug and head gaskets along with burned hoses and belts, mechanic stated head gasket was leaking very large amounts of oil, also stated that fire was probably related to gulley plug oil leak.
Consumer contacted dealership in regard to recall notice 96V00600 concerning engine. Dealership tated that they had no information regarding this recall. Please provide any additional information.
Consumer has intermittent problems with vehicle stalling and not starting. When vehicle stalls, it loses steering & brakes. Consumer has taken it to 3 different dealers, who couldn't find a remedy. Crankshaft was replaced, but didn't remedy problem. A diagnostic test didn't give a reading.
I have learned that numerous people have experienced this same problem and for some, Chrysler has reimbursed them for repairs. Our local news did a report on secret warranties for the Dodge Stratus head gasket replacement. I contacted Chrysler in January, 1999 after the repairs were made and they denied my claim. I called again today, 01/05/01 and was denied again. Help please! * no safety defect.
My car stopped on me on the highway, 12/21/00, the car constantly leaks oil, and I put oil in it every three weeks. The cars motor is knocking, now it starts up but stops anywhere on the street. It just cuts off, I called crysler and they said it was not on recall for the engine. But I found out it was on your recall database, the engine recall 96V006000.
