While traveling approximately 10 to 15 mph applied pressure to brake pedal in an effort to slow vehicle, and brake system failed to slow vehicle down, resulting in a crash, where it rear-ended another vehicle. There was no police report or injuries. Dealership has not made a determination for cause of problem, and informed consumer that this vehicle was not affected by any recall. Please provide any additional information / attachments.
There was a shudder type sound and the transmission locked up, the car lost power, brakes did not work properly and lights came on the dashboard. The car locked in drive and could not be put into any other gear. The driver had to put the emergency brake on. Eventually the vehicle was forced into gear.
On going/intermittent problem with vehicle brake pedal going to the floor; reason unknown. Caused vehicle to rear end another vehicle in front of consumer. Vehicle been in/out of dealer shop on four occasions, and was informed that nothing could be found.
When brakes are applied the pedal goes to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. The dealer has replaced several parts of the braking system.
When traveling and upon making a sudden or gradual stop, when depressing the brake pedal, the pedal travels to the floorboard. Rear wheels lock up, making it very difficult to operate the vehicle.
While driving on normal road conditions and applying the brakes, the system did not engage and the pedal collasped to the floor, causing the driver to hit the rear of another vehicle.
When applying the ABS brakes the pedaltravels to the floor. Also a vibrating and grinding noise occurs, causing extended stopping distance. Dealer resurfaced the rotors which did not remedy the problem.
This vehicle has been in the shop seven times because of a noise in the(ABS) brakes, when at low speeds the brakes failed when coming to a stop, problem has not been remedied.
