This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Driver alerted to a problem by honking of other drivers, and told gasoline was streaming from the tank area. Drove home, found that the fuel and brake lines had been mounted one above the other (rigid vs. Moving parts) and the brake line support bracket had abraded both fuel lines, and one of them completely through to the inside. Luckily no spark from the friction occurred or I would not be sending this report. This is a highly dangerous situation and should be investigated immediately. I will wait for a few days for your instructions, but I will have to get it repaired to get to work. Please advise asap.
