I ordered the work van new.(3500) one ton model. Cargo type, heavy-duty.. Wash wax oil changes as needed. pored oil in doors underhood cracks and crevices. The dealer sold me a rubber mat to protect the floor from scratches. Installed cabinets on top for tool storage. A few years later the cabinets removed mat removed, only to reveal the center floor structure has failed. Rot from underneath the uni-body frame rails has corroded the area where the floor is welded. A very qualified shop said " Trade her in" The shop has never seen this type of problem before. They also noted the van other than the floor is in perfect condition. They also said ford has a better set up. I checked out their one ton cargo vans. They have a heavy plastic coating under-neath the van floor, as well as inside BEFORE the mat goes down. Thus eliminating the mat as a cloaking device hiding Rust. This van was lovingly cared for washed top, bottom underneath, kept in garage. Oh well Here I come ford..... Looks like the dodge boys moved to Mexico...... your friend Timothy.... timshev2000@yahoo.com
