Transmission was leaking oil consumer called dealer and explained the problem, and was told that warranty was 1000 miles over, they would have to charge him for it. It seemed that transmission mount was worn out.
Truck will not downshift without pushing accelerator about half way to the floor. Pushing the accelerator that far down could cause an accident. Manufacturer said there was no remedy for this problem.
I had stopped at a boat ramp to launch boat. I tied end of rope to bumber of truck and the other end to the boat. I then was going to back down to water until boat floated off trailer and then pull ahead, stop and get rope and tie boat to dock. The rope snagged on the bumber of truck so I pulled up, stopped, got out of truck and walked to back of truck. I got rope off of bumber and was coiling it on the front of the boat when the truck jumped into reverse and almost injured me twice. Once when it almost backed over me and once when I tried to get into it to put into gear, but was too late and truck entered water and sunk. Everyone says that I left gear in reverse, but how did I get out and walk to the back of the truck before it started to move?? I think transmission was defective and dangerous.
I leased this vehicle new, and for the last three years, every 10,000 miles approximately, I have had to take it into the dealer to have the tracker bar replaced, tie rod ends have also been replaced. The front end still shimmies terrible, and it is difficult to control at times. I also have had transmission trouble, and engine skipping constantly. I am very upset with the way I am treated at the dealer also. They were very nice to me when they wanted to sell the vehicle but every time I bring it in to them and ask why they can't fix it, they get huffy and try to put the blame on me. Now I could see if the vehicle were old, but it has had problems since I got it! I waited along time to be able to afford a Dodge pickup, and I am very disappointed, I should have gotten a Chevy. I tried to talk to the dealership about lemon lawing it but they won't talk to me.
When driving consumer noticed transmission light was illuminated on dashboard. Vehicle was turned off. After restarting vehicle consumer noticed transmission light went off. After driving a little ways transmission made a very loud noise. Very bad engineer flaws, design, hard to keep going straight, trans. Vibrates/shakes truck, steering column feels loose, no help from hotline or dealer, engine spark knocks real bad under a load, rear brakes lock up constantly, Chrysler is aware of problems can't fix and meet epa emission law.
There have been multiple reporst of transmission failure on this and several other year vehicles to Chrysler over the last few years. I was lucky and in my case the transmission wnet out while in reverse in a parking area and I was able to recruit help to push it out of traffic.

Tires, though we haven't experienced a blow out or treads peeling off, the tires are wearing much quicker than they should. With only 12,000 mile on the vehicle, the tires look like it's been driven 50,000 miles. Mid October we called chrsyler in auburn hills, to let them know how unsafe we feel driving this truck. We have had this truck brought back to the dealer eleven times for warranty work, eight of which were for brake problems.( dot number: M32kerhx tire size: P245/75R16 )

When reaching the speed of 50 mph and 60 mph vehicle would jerk. Also, when shifting into reverse vehicle would make a crying noise. Car would start in any gear. Owner believes this last problem caused by mechanic.
When accelerating to pass another vehicle, transmission jumped out of gear, and did not go into any other gear until the truck slowed down. This could have caused a crash. Truck has been to the dealership numerous times for this problem, but dealer was not able to duplicate the problem. New valve body installed, but problem still exists.
