The ABS and the brake light illuminated. The vehicle brakes even when not in motion. The service writer says consumers vehicle needs a cabs computer module. The front rotors needed replacing because of what the dealer claims to be pitting. A friend in formed consumer that it was because of air bubbles in the casting when the rotors were made.
When driving downhilee brakes will not stop vehicle. Consumer also stated vehicle has inadquate braking, burns up calipers and brake pads. Dealer contacted. Nlm
Consumer states the vehicle keeps blowing wheel seals which contaminate the brakes, consumer purchased lifetime wheel seals and lasted two weeks.. consumer also stated the throttle linkage has been replaced 3 times.
When the brakes are applied the pedal gets mushy and goes to the floor causing extended stopping distances resulting in a collision. The dealer has notified. Mjs

Transmission shudders at 45 mph, does not shift and shakes when going into 3rd or overdirve, and jerks and slips, dealer has replaced the valve body and reconditioned transmission and replaced convertor, transmission continues to lock up and jerk. Driver and passenger side mirrors were both replaced due to being loose. Emergency brake handle came off and was replaced. Fuel gauge read empty with 12 gallons in tank, dealer replaced fuel pump module. Wiper blades weren't cleaning windshield, dealer replaced both wiper blades, windshield washer was inoperable, dealer replaced washer motor. Vehicle has experienced many problems with the interior and dome lights failing, dome light keeps blowing fuse and dealer has replaced the strip lighting and fuse box door and repaired the open circuit to junction block. Radiator cap was replaced due to low coolant. There was a brake fluid leak, dealer replaced caps for the master cylinder, the brake and ABS light were illuminated, dealer replaced rear wheel speed sensor and wiring. Passenger side vent window would not open and leaked air. Vehicle only gets 13mph on highway, consumer states this is poor gas mileage.
Brake performance diminished, takes heavy brake pedal pressure to stop. Parking brake does not hold vehicle, with parking brake pushed on hard the vehicle can still creep. Front brake pads wearing very qucikly, rear brake shoes glazed. Rear brake shoes replaced three times, a new set of "heavy duty" rear wheel cylinders were installed by the dealer. The wheel cylinders helped some but the truck has poor braking performance, especially with a light load in the bed or towing an empty 16' flat bed trailer. Replaced front brake pads and they were worn unevenly. I don't know if a proportining valve would cause this kind of problem. The dealer has tried what they thought would fix the problem. The truck is out of warranty now since October of 1999.
While driving vehicle suddenly accelerated, causing a crash. Sudden acceleration problem happened once before. Dealer could not determine the problem. Brake failed.
While applying the brakes the vehicle will move to the right lane unexpectedly. Has to release the brakes in order to move back into the orginal lane, which may cause an accident. Dealer cannot determine problem. Dealer replace control arms, brake pads etc.
Consumer has a problem with brakes. They work fine when driving in town. When driving at 30 - 35 mph or more, the brakes do not stop accurately. When pressing the pedal for braking driver must release them. Then press again before stopping.
Received recall notice (#97V06800) & called dealer for an appointment. Was informed that they had no parts. Called back 3 weeks later & informed of the same thing again. Parts on back order.
While trying to stop vehicle and putting on brakes the vehicle wll pull hard in any direction, causing driver to go off the road. Brakes have been replaceed on 4 occasions, however problem still persisted, Chrysler is replacing vehicle.
When applying the brakes the vehicle keeps on going for a short distance before the vehicle comes to a stop. Driver noticed that the vehicle has a lot of vibration and shaking in it.
