This is the second time this panel has failed. Originally failed at 38 months and 28000 miles and was not under warranty. The unit was replaced by the dealer for $800. 54 months later the exact same thing happened. The engine died both times and windshield washer, lights, etc. went haywire before it died. Only way to keep the truck form burning up was to pull off battery cables. Saw eight other identical complaints listed.
