The tie rod end on the passenger side is loose by 3/4 inch. The tire is wearing bad, so it needs replaced. I called the local Dodge dealer and there are no recalls on the part so I wanted to order the passenger portion to replace but the dealer said I could not as they discontinued making them as they were a faulty setup and a replacement would have to be purchased, but I had to replace all of the system. I asked how much is this and it is $580 plus install and alignment. Wow, I own a 2001 GMC with 245,000 and runs like a champ and only changed the oil, tires, and air cleaner.

Something is very wrong here with Dodge and their warranty with defective parts. And I bought a Dodge Challenger, what is in store for me. I would not mind buying the replacement part but when it is no longer available and I need to pay to replace something that should have been installed in the first place, really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
