When I took the truck into Dodge in Prince George, British Columbia they told me I had a dusted engine. I asked how can you only dust one cylinder out of six, my comp is 320 to 350 on 1 through 5 and 220 on 6. they also told me I had dust in my intake boots and that my turbo needed to be replaced and the cost would be around $20,000.00 to fix and of course it was not covered under warranty. So I asked them to put the truck back together and since then Ive put a motor in from a wreckers with my original turbo on the new motor, I had a shop in town put it in. The mechanic was a 30yr diesel mechanic and he pulled the turbo apart and couldn't find a thing wrong with it so we put it on the other motor and is on the truck today and running fine. Also this mechanic and about a half a dozen more say you cannot dust one cylinder out of six that they should all be way down on compression if that happened. So Im out about $12,000.00 on a 3yr old truck that should be under warranty. I spent $39,000.00 on a truck last year because it was still under warranty FOR WHAT. On top of that I ve been laid off since Feb/09 so I cant afford to fight it. All in all, Ill never buy another Dodge product, why buy a product you cant get serviced and the service department don't give a sh*t all they said was thats to bad and they were sticking behind what there tech said so basically #%@#%^ you. On top of that I had a rear seal leak on the rear diff so I took it in to get fixed and they told me I had a hairline crack in my overdrive on the tranny and it wasn't cover under warranty. So Im not sure what Dodges powertrain warranty is, I guess its whatever they want it to be, AND ITS OUR TAX MONEY THAT IS BAILING OUT THIS SH*TTY COMPANY. GO FIGURE!!
