A D V E R T I S E M E N T S
SUDDENLY ENGINE LOST POWER AND WAS VERY SLUGGISH ON THE TAKE OFF. PRIOMETER WOULD RISE RAPIDLY AND BOOST WOULD NOT EXCEED 10.
I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE INTERCOOLERS WERE DEFECTIVE IN THE 2005 MODELS AND WERE DISCONTINUED.
IS THEIR A RECALL OR IS THIS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
THANKS FOR THE HELP.
Update from Dec 7, 2011: PROBLEM WAS FIXED BY REPLACING THE INTERCOOLER WITH A NEW ALLIUMIN UNIT. THE OLD UNIT WAS PLASTIC AND HAD BLOWN A HOLE IN IT. UNIT COST $700 AND LABOR WAS $260. TRUCK RUNS GOOD NOW, BOOST IS UP AND TEMPERATURE IS DOWN.
