The contact owns a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle started to shake violently. The contact stated that the when the transmission was shifted into reverse, it failed to engage. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
Power steer/brake fluid master cylinder leaked into cab of truck saturating the carpets before it could be discovered. Safety fear of carpet soaked with power steering fluid.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Impala. The contact was driving approximately 45 mph and changing lanes when the steering wheel and brake pedal exhibited an unusual clicking noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed the failure within the intermediate shaft, which would need replacing. The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 36,700.
Incident occurred at home/vehicle was not in motion. Got in driver seat to move vehicle and the airbag deployed for no reason/. no accident had occurred. Owner was injured by blow to the head, causing bruising and headaches. No parts replaced due to insurance company and manufacturer not feeling responsible for the problem. Airbag) no longer in use, and all functions on steering wheel did not work.
The steering wheel had too much play in it, which made it difficult to steer while driving, also the front end swayed. The dealership serviced the vehicle 3 times, in which they tightened the steering box and adjusted the tie rods, however the problem recurred.

Intermediate shaft was defective, causing steering column to break. After contacting dealer. Consumer had the intermediate shaft replaced twice within 20,000 miles. The driver side mirror was loose. Because of the noise in the steering while turning, the clock spring was removed and the steering wheel reinstalled. The problem still existed. Rear speaker was inoperative and replaced.

While driving 65-70 mph steering locked, vehicle skidded into tree. After inspecting vehicle mechanic stated steering knuckle had broken and could have caused steering to lock, and in turn accident.
The consumer has been experiencing problems with steering/suspension. When driving, cosumer has problems controlling the vehicle. They have had the alignment fixed 6 times, and the steering wheel repaired 7 times. The manufacturer has been contacted.
Steering-loud clicking noise from steering column at all speeds. Noticeably load on turns (left or right). Battery-first battery died. Only 8-9 monty old. Green 'idiot' dot on so called 'maintenance-free' battery no longer green. Replaced battery at dealership. Current battery is also weak! green 'idot' dot is fading away. Notice that power door locks churn away trying to lock or unlock doors. Won't be long before dealer will replace this second battery!. brakes-vehicle vibrates bad upon applying moderate brake pressure. Occurs every time, vehicle doesn't swerve. Dearler says, brake rotors may be warped?. of course, this isn't under warranty, I beleive this to be a defect. I have noticed several complaints about the brakes and steering column defects on this site. It's not just me. These are defects!!
