The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that after the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V352000 (Air Bags), the airbag warning light remained illuminated after starting the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that whenever the airbag light was illuminated, there were other electrical failures with the vehicle. The contact stated that the A/C and the heater would become inoperable. The contact drove the vehicle to a local dealer who diagnosed and determined that there was an electrical short underneath the driver's side airbag sensor wiring harness. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.
Replaced battery cable. Reconnected cable and air bag deployed. To to Chrysler dealer and was told it has a broken clock spring and Chrysler is covering the repair
Airbag light came on, A/C & seat heaters won't work. Cold start in morning, airbag light goes off, A/C works & seat heaters ok. Turn engine off, next start of engine, airbag light on, no A/C or seat heaters until next morning. First time this incident occurred vehicle was stationary, in store parking lot. Airbag light on during trip home. Airbag inoperable when light is on.
Takata recall. I have tried 7 times to get this fixed at the closest dealer but they won't do it. It is a 70 mile trip to them and they always say they cant for 2 or 3 weeks from when I'm there. They tell me it only takes an hour but expect me to schedule out 2 or 3 weeks. With the job I work I simply cannot do that. Seems like they don't care wheather my wife and I live or die.
I was involved in an accident in motion over 35mph on a highway and my air bags did not go off. A young man turning left from the South lane across the North lane failed to yield to me traveling in the North lane. All air bag recalls on my vehicle have been completed as shown on the attached form.

Takata recall. Just got my 3rd phone call from Chrysler today. The result of the first 2 calls I've received in the past were that no parts were actually available. The result of this phone call was 3 local dealerships put the Chrysler caller on hold and then hung up on her. I have been trying for a very long time to get my truck in for this recall. It is obvious that Chrysler and their dealers are not serious about this serious safety concern.

"takata recall" we received the notice in May 2016, took the truck to arrigo Dodge; they would have to call us when they got the parts in. In November we contacted them, regarding a different recall (tie rod) once again had to wait but they did the driver side air bag. March 2017 they did the air bag.....2 days later the air bag light is on, horn and cruise control does not work and they refuse to repair it; stating that it is the multi-function switch. So we currently have no drivers side airbag. In our attempts to have them fix it they refused and were nasty about it. We attempted to reach a local Dodge representative and no one knows who that may be.

May 2016 we received a recall notice about the passenger airbag inflator must be replaced. This is taking way too long to be fixed. We are a city dept. In chesapeake va that provides mosquito control.

Takata recall I called my local dealership today litia Dodge and was told that the parts are not avalible yet for this recall. Really" like the recall is almost a year old and we are still waiting on parts? what is the deal? I just recently bought this pickup so when I told the service guy this he said that they would notify me. I again told him that I just got this pickup so how is Dodge going to notify me" so I just figured that maybe if I go on this site I can get some answers and notifications because it was obvious my local dealership didn't give a rip.

Takata recall we have recently moved from the us back to Canada for retirement. We imported our 06 Dodge Ram 2500 which is used to haul our new 5th wheel (our permanent new home) all import and export documentation was paid but we are now unable to register, license, or insure this vehicle due to the fact that it has the outstanding S43 recall. Our dreams of retiring and travelling have ended before they have begun. Please help, we have spent many thousands of dollars to move back to and cannot use this vehicle until the S43 recall has been completed

Takata inflator. I received your written notice. I E-mailed a reply on 7/15/16. So far on 1/16/17 I have not heard from either you folks or my local dealer about replacing the passenger side air bag. Are the proper air bags available to the local dealer in odgen Utah or near by dealer?
