This trip, we had just pulled a long steep grade with the same fifth-wheel in tow at 2500rpm and ran into road construction just over the hump heading down hill. As soon as I backed off the fuel, the check engine light came on. I knew what it was as you can hear and feel the difference in the engine. Of course we were on "Vacation" again and a Dodge dealership was only a few hour's away!
Once we were set up at an RV park we called the nearest dealership ( Bend Or.) for an appointment. Luckily we were able to get an appointment two day's later! I guess Dodge figures this is the best way for their customer's to spend their vacation's! There is never an offer for reimbursement for travel cost,( fuel, time lost) or just the idea in the back of your head, when will this happen again? I am retired and every purchase is cash, so this is really a slap in the face as much as the wallet! I found out about the buyback a we bit too late!
