I have had to have my Fuel Injectors replaced (7) times now and the wiring harness for the injectors replaced once. Dodge tells me that they have no idea of why they keep going bad and they will not take the time to figure it out. they give you hope when you first talk to them and then they put the screws to you. Just another big corp. that we all bailed out and now they just blow me off. They would rather inconvenience the customer then to do there job.

Same story as everyone else, bad injectors at 30000 miles covered under what they call base warranty. 50k miles they claimed bad fuel and would not cover it. I talked with a friend that works for Cummins development and test for them. What he said off the record was amazing. Dodge knows of the problem and will claim bad fuel every time. The injectors put in by commings are not the problem and in most cases neither is the fuel. Dodge has an open-air breather to the fuel tank that guess what, draws in dirt why? Because it's open....WTF... Dodge will not admit it and Cummings is tired of paying for their mistake. Find it and put a Fuel filter on it to keep out the dirt.

The Fix, if you want to keep it cheep just pull the injectors, instruction on the web even on You Tube. Then remove the nozzles and clean them with WD-40. Alternatively, get new ones for about 600 bucks a set of 90+ HP nozzles, kill two birds with one stone. This procedure is not on You Tube maybe I will put it out there. Once you have the nozzle tip separated DON'T LOSE ANY OF THE SMALL PARTS do this over a clean table with a big towel under you so nothing rolls away. The nozzle tip is in two pieces you will have to remove the center pin, which could take a little persuading depending how bad they are. I just taped it on a hard surface and let gravity handle the rest. Clean them and put it back together,,,

Runs great....NO MONEY JUST TIME a good weekend for the first time. I had to do it twice so far. 50k and now 88k . I think pulling the tank is in the future for me. You can google a ton of info on the injectors and You tube.

this is the second time i have had this problem i how ever dont think it is contaminated fuel doing it i think it is the injectors failing and the fuel is the way out out of the warranty but when this happened once at around 40000 and now again at 88000 its real funny how the injectors keep doing this the first time the 1 4 6 pistons were burnt out and now the 6 piston is suppose to be burnt out again there is trash in the tank and the filter housing but the dealer told me to call my insurance and tell them well i did so and they sent samples of the fuel off to a lab and they said there is no contamination past the fuel filter then what has caused the problem. I also know a guy same truck whos injectors failed he paid 800 dollars for the fuel system to be flushed and they were replaced failed 3 days later fixed them again and they then failed around a week later explain that the bad fuel caused this the first time they flushed the system and they done it again in such a short time come on now. I want to know how many people are dealing with this problem and to know if anyone has taken legal actions.
