Back slider window has been leaking for years and filling up the rear compartment with water. Dealer says this is a common problem with Ram trucks and have received thousands of complaints already. Dealer said they can replace it at a cost of approximately $550.00. It's definitely the slider window that leaks because I sealed the glass completely around with Silicone. However, it continued to dump water in the compartment under the rear seat.
I proved my suspicions that it's the slider glass window by buying a $2.49 bicycle inner tube, inflating it around the window and truck cap and stopping the leak. Cheap fix but not a permanent one. Apparently Dodge has been aware of this problem for years but do nothing about it. There should have been a recall but. . .that costs them money. What really ticked me off was the dealer calling in their "window" man to test for leaks - that I already knew. To boot, the dealer charged me over $50.00 for the water test. Go figure.
