bought the truck used with 20,000 miles on it. within 5000 after i bought it the transmission wouldn't go into gear right away in the mornings. took it to Zimmer Chrysler in Florence ky they replaced the tranny cooler, all the filters, flushed it. they said if that didnt help it is the pump. well it seemed ok. every now and then it would do it, but not very often. one morning i t did it again so i took it back in to Zimmer, a tech drove it around the lot and said there is nothing wrong, so i took his word for it. when my truck hit 50,000 the pump broke. now i am looking at a 1800 estimate to just have a new pump installed, thats as long as nothing else got screwed up due to the pump failure. i tried to get them to fix it for free since they new more or less what was wrong the first time but in my opinion because of the cost they didnt want to fix it right. i will NEVER own another chrysler product. the mechanic i am going to have fix it said he has replaced a large quantity of these pumps in the 04-07 automatics in the rams with the hemi in them. so be prepared this might happen to you, and if it does its fn expensive. just to rebuild that tranny is between 4000-5000 no joke.
