The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram. The seat belt does not retract properly, and when it does, it will not secure the occupant. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the technician stated the gears in the retractor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 34,000.

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel. The contact stated that the driver side front seat moved forward during deceleration. Instability while driving increased the risk of a vehicle crash. As of current date the vehicle has not been repaired. He took the vehicle to the dealer and a technician stated that he needed to replace the seat tracker at approximately $500. The component has not been replaced. The failure mileage was 50,000 and the current mileage was 60,000.
