The contact owns a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500. In may of 2005, the contact had to replace the fuel injection pump. Three years later, the same component failed again. The manufacturer stated that the warranty expired and the contact would be responsible for the $1,500 repair cost. The vehicle has not been repaired. He filed a complaint with the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 91,000 and current mileage was 170,000. Updated 08/04/08 updated 08/07/08
The contact owns a 2002 Dodge Ram 250. While driving between 20-80 mph, the vehicle lost power. The speed reduced in half and the failure only occurred when attempting to accelerate. The power steering and brakes remained operable. There were no warning indicators prior to the failure. The dealer stated that the fuel injector and transfer pump failed. No repairs were made. The failure mileage was 98,000 and current mileage was 104,000. Updated 02-14-08 the consumer stated the reapir was completed. Updated
