Park position with ignition key in the lock position, vehicle shifter moved out of park, knocked owner down and ran over me, continued to roll back hit second car, continued to keep going until it hit a curb. This was a very dangerous and could have caused other accidents. Consumer sent in a fax copy of the internet voq.

The contact owns a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact attempted to apply the parking brake, but the brake failed to engage. The regular brakes work, but the parking brake does not. The vehicle cannot be parked on an incline because it will roll. Dodge has not been notified. The current and failure mileages were 133,000.

Emergency brake failure caused truck to roll backwards out of driveway through a board fence down a hill off of a 8 ft. Cliff landing on rear bending bumper down and shoving bed in the cab and landing inches from the river!

Power steering and brakes went out at the same time while driving, no accident. Tried to use emergency brake, did not work either. Consumer used gears to stop vehicle. Repaired, Dodge will not reimburse because repair not done at Dodge dealer. Dealer replaced steering pump and het assembly for emergency brake.
