body / paint problem
While driving the paint was blowing off the hood in large pieces. Paint also blew off the roof. I believe the paint on this truck never bonded correctly to the primer underneath.
Another problem is the steering, has always felt loose and the power steering box also leaks. I only have 96,000 miles on this truck.
The rear bumper and the bottom of the doors have rusted out. The engine oil pan, and transmission pan have had to be replaced as they rusted out. The brake lines all rusted out and had to be replaced too.
On the engine, the intake had to be removed and the pan on the underside had come loose and had to be fixed.

Had this peeling paint when I bought the truck several years ago but gets worse with time, what an eyesore.

Like I said its a shame that a truck like this has this problems. I have a 2000 F250 power stroke and the dash board is in immaculate condition and the paint is also. And to think that this truck was displayed at all the hunting and fishing expos here in the valley.
