The contact owns a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that the dashboard disintegrated to the point that the wires underneath were visible. There was no warning indicator. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that there were no recalls and the dashboard needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.
