Main rear brake line corroded behind gas tank causing brakes to fail unexpectedly. This is a very common problem faced by everyone I know with this model.
While driving and when brakes were applied they did not hold, pedal went all the way to the floor, consumer stated the vehicle coasted through a red light through a busy intersection, this was caused by a hole in the brake line, which was the result of the way the brake line was assembled.. consumer stated the 4X4 did not work, the tire blew out, there was a water leak and the carpet had to be replaced twice, the rear window was replaced, the rear brakes never worked, the radio was inoperative, the hood light flickered while driving, and also vehicle experienced transmission problems.
I'm on my 4th set of brake pads. The brake systems (according to midas brakes) are not sufficient on the 3/4 ton pickup trucks! most of my driving is open highway.

The brake hose failed because of a design defect. The bracket that is part of the hose assembly causes a bend in the hose that forces the hose to contact the wheel wearing a hole in the hose. The replacement hose is designed to eliminate this bend. The right hose is designed the same way. Apparently, Chrysler found this problem and corrected it but did not recall the defective parts.
I have a long history of reporting serious major safety component problems and failures to Chrysler on both of my vehicles. My vehicles have been in three accidents resulting from failed safety components. Each time after the accident, the dealer was able to find the problem and correct it. However, this has never happened before the accident. In the case of the brake line failure it involves every 1195 BR2500 hd pickup truck. Chrysler found and corrected the problem at some point because the replacement part is designed to reduce the bends which cause the line to rub against the wheel rim on turns. I have experienced thousands of dollars in damages that were caused by Chrysler. How do I get my money back?
