The TIPM relays on this truck are awful and Ram should issue a recall on this year truck, like have been done on other Dodge/Ram models. Brought my truck in for intermittent start issues and was told my fuel pump was bad, they replaced the fuel pump ($1000 to fix) I go to pick up truck and it has the same start issue it won't start. Dealership calls me back the next day that they found a bad relay and wanted another 400 dollars to fix the relay. Lucky for me the owner of the dealership covered this, but I still paid 1000 dollars for the fix when all was needed was the relay!

I've driven Dodge trucks since 1971, all well made, dependable vehicles. This will be my last. The concept of the TIPM is nothing more than a money tree to mechanics and parts suppliers. Problems with this part are numerous and the fact that the manufacturer will not replace an obviously flawed item reflects Ram's lack of concern for its products after sale. Additionally, both the alternator and starter died at 39000 miles.

In my previous trucks neither part failed until after 50,000 miles, and I had one starter that lasted over 100,000.

Interesting that things were better made pre-Fiat.
