I am a single 55 year old female, live in Wisconsin on a dead end road 3.10ths of a mile long. I bought my truck brand new from a locale dealership that has since changed hands. 2 days ago, February 14th, 2019, I noticed the ABS light came on (it was not in 4 wheel drive) along with that little icon on the right of a "fish-tailing truck" and the EPS 4 whl drv serv light in middle of dash was blinking. As I was slowing down for a stop-sign, my brakes would not engage entirely, only in intermittents along with the ABS kinda skidding on DRY pavement! This scared me!

I did make it home, called the dealership immediately to drop off my truck and to please issue me a loaner vehicle as I did not feel safe driving it nor did I want more problems accumulating if I did drive it. Number one...they could not find me in their system, this upset me as I paid cash for this truck in December 2009, bought my next set of tires from them and also had purchased 2 oil change packages from the time I purchased this truck. As I was not found in their system, they asked me for the vin number. This pissed me off! I was told that I could drop off the vehicle, they didn't know when they could get to it and that no they did not have a loaner vehicle available for me...I tried reasoning with them with my safety and the safety of my grandsons (ages almost 4 and a 6 year old) as I occasionally have them with me in their car seats in the back. They still would not issue me a loaner and suggested that I rent a car!!! I told them that if they did not have a loaner vehicle for me, then THEY should rent a vehicle for me! Now I'm really getting pissed!

So this morning I went on-line to see if anyone else had similar problems I was experiencing with and guess what? This a common issue with this make, model and year. I am so ready to chew somebody's head off. I am now going to take it to Advanced Auto Parts as they will diagnosis it for free. I will be back with more info as I continue in this nightmare!

Remote operation with the key fob was at first unreliable and then started quitting altogether. Key fobs were checked by the dealer and proven to be good. First it was the remote start and then it was the remote door unlock quit working. TIPM problem which can cost over $1000.00 to replace.

Backup lights quit working due to TIPM. There are no blown fuses or bad connections just no power going to the lights. Tested for voltage and there is none. The bulbs are good. Another problem appeared at the same time that also links back to the TIPM.

The remote unlock for the doors quit working. All fuses are tested good. The key fobs tested by dealer and pronounced good. Only way to get in is use the key and let the horn go off which it (the horn) does only part of the time indicating a problem there also.

My wife was heading to LA to visit her family when our truck stalled on the I-5 just north of the Base we're stationed at. I had to leave a meeting to go help her and recover the truck. My day was pretty much over after that. I was jus thankful she wasn't hurt because of the poor engineering effort Dodge put into this truck. I looked up the problem and it appears to be an issues with the TIPM. I'm going to attempt to try a few things (which we shouldn't have to do) before I see a dealer. Any help with be appreciated.

When the truck gets wet the lights & icons on dashboard goes crazy. The speed odometer & RPM needles go out of control. It gets so bad that the truck won't even start again. I had the truck in the Dodge dealership on 2 different occasions. They replaced different sensors & modules. Every time it is costing a sh*t load of money & I feel like they are only taking me for my money

While traveling home with my family the truck accelerated out of control and the engine seized up. We had been on the highway about 1.5 hours on cruise at 65 mph. Tapped the brakes to slow down for vehicle entering the highway. When I hit the resume on the cruise the truck acted like someone put it in first gear and floored itself. I then hit the brakes and it continued to rev out of control. My next move was to put it in neutral and try to shut it down. By the time I reached the key the engine had quit running. I managed to cross the right lane to get to the shoulder. After coasting to a stop on the off ramp the truck would not turn over.

I had the truck towed the hour and a half trip home. Towed it to my local Dodge dealer on 9/29/14. It has been sitting there for over a week while they decide if they will repair it under the power train warranty. They now seem to want years worth of oil change records, they in fact did several oil changes on the vehicle in the past. I believe this was a problem with the TIPM that they don't want to recall. My family was put in danger because of this issue and I am very unhappy with the treatment from Dodge on this issue.

The computer and throttle body went bad that the same time and both had to be replaced at the dealership. i was hot when the truck broke down i was on the interstate when it happened then was told that computer was on nat'l back order which i was told 2 weeks to 2 months then i got pissed they got it done in a week because i told them they could have it i want something else i told them i bought a new truck so i would not to worry about this especially after spending 40000 for it. they told me my trade in on it was 27000 that really tourqed me so i learned a lesson about buying a car from a dealership especially after i've bought 3 new cars from them they don't really care so dodge can kiss my ass
