Why is the front caliper sticking, what is wrong; Brakes-ABS??? It is the front right and is the same with my friends - one owns a 2009 and the other owns a 2012 and mine is a 2010 all with the same issue. I can tell from the past complaints that it has been an ongoing problem at least since 2009. Why isn't Dodge taking care of this problem? This is obviously a flaw in their design. This needs to be addressed or are they waiting until there is a death and a huge lawsuit? Looks like I may have to go back to Chevy for my next purchase.

I am reporting the date on this one for the time of repair, but it was in Feb of that year that I first experienced the problem. Due to the huge hassle and time frame of a warranty repair I decided to let it slide for the summer as I needed the vehicle for work. I do not travel far for work and was willing to risk more damage that I was going to get repaired under warranty.

I had just got the truck back from a warranty repair and didn't notice it on my drive home (300+Km and a ferry crossing of 1.5hrs) I realized the brake dust was building up on the front driver side rim. I remover the wheel and noticed I couldn't spin the rotor. I pried the brakes open and noticed 1 of the 2 caliper pistons were seized, not solid, but very tight. The other opened very freely. I put it all back on and sent the vehicle in for warranty repair after the season ended. I was going to do the repair myself until I learned that a caliper for this truck was over $200 at NAPA.
