Evaporator core went out. Pag oil leaked out and A/C barely blows cold, right when summer started. A mechanic informed me that Dodge deliberately designed the evaporator with thin walls so that it will rupture. The OEM part is about $300 but an aftermarket part, that won't rupture is about $70. Labor is $900 since the whole dash has to be removed to replace. This is becoming a fairly common failure with the dodge rams.
This is designed obsolescence where the evaporator was made to fail. This should be a recall item. If you have this problem, you need to report it. That's how we get recalls going.
