Last week I noticed my third brake light was on when the truck was off. When the truck was turned on the rear brake lights stay on. This happens even with the pedal switch removed. I've had three different mechanics look at it ; all they say is it could be the TIPM but can't say for sure. That's an expensive part that is known to fail but the truck hasn't shown any of the other typical symptoms. I've ordered a used one and am hoping this solves the problem! The used one will cost me $355 if I put it in myself. I filed a complaint with the NHTSA because this REALLY should be a recall!
