So sequence of events.. my front right caliper totally malfunctioned, causing the hub to overheat and the bearings where shot because of the excessive heat. The front right wheel was so off balance because of the caliper, that not only did it destroy one hub, but both. After the caliper malfunctioned, I suppose the heat from the wheel ruined the bearings in the hub. Its a sealed unit.. you cannot just replace the bearings and races, you have to replace the whole damn hub. This was an easy install for the front right, but not so much for the next fix... Weeks later i found myself trying to find a front left hub with speed sensor for the rear ABS system to work properly. I ended up buying an after market part and installing the older speed sensor, which was thankfully still working properly. I tried to get the part through the dodge dealership which, no doubt again, did not acknowledge the vehicle being worthy of a warranty related issue because they were to incompetent to even find the warranty even after having my trucks vin number. Obviously they screwed me over and gave me straight bullshit when trying to resolve the problem by phone. So I go back to the place I bought the truck and try to buy a car. They talk me into possibly trading in my truck. I tell them about the malfunctioning parts, and the salesman said "That sounds like it could be a safety issue... would you like to try a dodge caliber out... they get good gas mileage... we don't have a honda like you want right now, and these cars of ours have a great warranty!" They eventually offered me $3000 less than my truck would have been, in the worst of condition, and I walked out after telling them they had insulted me, but not tying them down and burning the building down around them like I saw myself doing in my head.
