This was the 3rd time for the front brakes. Seemed like the calipers every time. Tired of paying out for same thing. Will Dodge ever get this right?

I bought this truck December 2007. Its clearly a 2008 as stated. This is the newest vehicle I have ever purchased. In less than 100,000 miles, and two years, a part malfunctions and makes me loose control of my vehicle at 3 in the morning in snow and 20 degree weather. The front right caliper was sticking so badly I thought the tire had broke a belt and falling apart. I lost enough speed on the to keep from wrecking in the ditch. If there had not been snow and regular pavement on the roadside, I could have easily flipped or worse. Stan McNabb of Tullahoma Tennessee was who i called the next day about my 100,000 mile warranty. After giving them my vin number they couldn't place who actually insured my vehicle with this warranty. They also would not be able to look at the vehicle for another 3 days. I needed my vehicle for work so i fixed it myself. I actually bought the part from the dodge dealership, and believe it or not, the mopar part cost less than an aftermarket one by wagner. Probably because its inferior quality being that the last on malfunctioned.

Again...stuck caliper...burning smell on right front tire....dealer can't duplicate...tried to say tires were under inflated.....told them I was not that stupid....told them I would NEVER pickup the truck until they replaced caliper, rotor and pads....I am not dodge's guinea pig!

Ram 1500 Xlt, 4x4 5.7L Hemi

The right front caliper was not fully releasing, causing the rotor to get very hot. I noticed the smell of a dragging brake on the highway. I had to pull over and let cool down. It was somewhat intermittent for a couple of days, but then it was dragging all the time. It was not dragging hard enough to pull the vehicle to the right, but when it was heated up you could feel a slight wobble when you touched the brakes due to the heat.

The dealership could not observe it at first, but told them to drive it around for at least 5-10 miles and then they would notice it. That's all it took. The dealership was awesome and replaced the right caliper, pads and rotor under warranty. I thought it would be a fight, but they said it was definitely a bad part and covered it.
