I Have a 2008 Dodge RAM 1500 that I have washed and waxed very very often and then to notice that the area above the rear wheel well is rusting and that it probably goes all the way through and then to notice that the bottom portion of the doors are doing the same thing. I mean come on you pay 40 to 50 thousand dollars for a vehicle you don't expect it to rust in 8 years if you have taken care of it but I have also seen even newer models that have the same rust spots on them. I had a friend of mine look at it and he said that the only way to fix the rust on the bed and doors is to cut it out and replace it with sheet metal which could cost several thousand dollars and this may not even be a permanent fix. Dodge needs to recall this and fix the problem.

Purchased 2008 Ram 1500. Purchased the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty (their ultimate pack). Was told this covered paint, rims etc,,,, I noticed the bottom of the rear passenger door rusting out on the inside, the outside is bubbling up and if touched will fall off. (Bottom weld on door). This had been going on for a while because it is pretty bad. Dodge refuses to repair it. It is a problem with the manufacturer problem, poor weld or assembly of rubber molding on bottom of door,

The new manager of the warranty department told me what do I expect, trucks (Dodge ) rust in 6 years, I disagree but they will not repair this problem. I will never buy another Dodge since they lied about the warranty and believe their trucks rust within 6 years. The buying public needs to be made aware of this situation. The customer service manager at corporate was rude and totally unprofessional towards me. They claim they are all about customer service but that only appears to be when you are purchasing something or having repairs done!

Rust embedded in the paint. Took it in to dealer and they said it was just something in the air. Talked to body shop and that's where I found out what caused the spots. Had them buff the entire truck and it still came back.

the rail dust rust spots. went to dealership they will not do anything contacted dodge directly they said the same thing they know what it is from still will not take care of it. they do not care about the customer after the sale had a chevy with paint problems they fixed it no questioned asked the truck was 5 years old. dodge does not care about you. they said rail dust is not there problem even thou it happens when they ship the car. wish they would just buy the truck back and i would buy a chevy or ford never anouther dodge. they told me because i waited so long to tell them they will not do anything why do they have a 6 year 60000 mile garenty if they will not honor it.

dodge sucks i will never buy another one. this is the first new truck i brought i should have never went with dodge. why not try to keep someone happy. dodge is the worst car company out there. i will tell everyone i know never buy a dodge. keep away the like you when you are buying a car after that they want nothing to do with you.
