Well one day, while it was raining I noticed water in my truck didn't think to much about it. Until, I Started driving water started leaking out of my driver side "OH sh*t handle" from out of the circle plastic cover to the bolt. It was a pretty good little trickle, got worse the more I drove.

I did that every time it rained out until I just got some silicon and just put it all inside there.

The weather stripping is good so, it might be coming out through the sunroof???

It was quite annoying though.

Bought a 2008 Dodge Hemi Lamarie from my brother. Big mistake. Few weeks later here comes the rain. Found rain dripping from grab handles. I looked up on Dodge forum how to fix and was guided properly to moon roof drain plugs that were clogged. Problem one solved used air compressor to unclog drain tubes.

Later went to pick up some jumping cables in back storage bins and found the bins soaking wet and tools all rusty. Noticed on the forum about third brake light problems ,so I took off old silicon my brother put and resealed the light with a gasket silicone kit . Still had water coming through the window. Noticed water coming in on slider window. Looked like the seals were messed up so my wife and I after reading much on this water problem decided to change back glass. Glass replaced to solid window $450 spent hoping to solve water problems. Not. Still finding water leaking into storage bins. I decided after glass people swore it wasn't the new glass to investigate.he removed back seats , seat belts all the plastic pieces and all the backing to get to metal cab. Ran a water test with hose and found the problem for the storage bins getting soaked. We were suspicious of the vents behind the back seats after reading so much about these problems but they were fine.

The factory sealant that was used to seal metal seams together we're not sealed all the way up about one inch of a gap on each side and water was pouring in and leaking down into the storage bins and carpet. Found the source so here is how I solved this problem:

I bought some steel epoxy putty and activated it and sealed all the cracks. Allowed time for curing then tested for leaks and there was none. Added silicon over epoxy putty allowed time for curing then sprayed flex seal rubber spray as an added sealant. So far so good.

The only problem thus far is a small area on the back rear window passenger side top corner where we still have a small intrusion of water. Plan on removing headliner tomorrow and have a water test to see exactly where this water is coming from. May be another metal factory defect maybe third light not sure but I will find out .

Never owned a Dodge before and I have never had so much trouble with any of my Fords. Anybody looking for a Dodge truck lol Will get back with any findings after removing headliner. Oh yes the smell from so much water getting in vehicle was so strong my wife couldn't stand it. After drying storage compartment liner and carpets the smell is decreasing Bought some bags for mildew and musky odors from no odor.com. Seems to be helping a lot. Just need to get rid of all water problems to get rid of odor. Was going to replace carpet but I think i can salvage it. Will give it a good shampoo once we seal up this mess.hoping this may help someone. Never knew a vehicle could be so much trouble
