Got in the vehicle 10 miles away from home no start, checked fuses, installed new ignition switch still no start, climbed under vehicle jumped solenoid engine would turn over but wouldn't start, no spark to start. Now its over my head for troubleshooting. Had the truck trailered to the Dodge dealer and the TIPM was fried. Found out after replacement the heated mirrors work now, autostart works now, heated windshield works now, lights don't flicker when using the cigarette lighter plug to charge my phone, heater fan works all the time, not intermittent anymore, now it starts.
Read online about all the TIPM problems very disappointed, very upset that the same defected part was installed prob only to have the same problem again, but it is a nice cash flow business for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge to have. No its bullshit and just like everything else we have to just grin and keep paying for the same bullshit defective parts!!!!!
From what I am reading, through numerous forums and wannabe experts, the problem may be as simple as replacing a $4.00 relay switch, but instead, that is within the TIPM which remains "unserviceable" and will cost anyone an arm and a leg to have repaired, about $600.00 and up. That's utter BS. I am so done with this truck. It's going to a used car lot soon and I will take that same $600 and get me a good ol' Jeep with a straight 6 in it. Those are simple, easily maintained, and reliable. Dodge can go suck on a fat one.
the truck has a mind of its own. this problem happens every 6 to 7 months. all service warning lights come on and two gauges stop working. u turn off engine and then it wont start back up for few days. sometimes it only takes a few hrs to start, but last time it took 5 days. now it has happened again and it still wont start and it has been 3 days now. I dont know what to do. every mechanic that I know doesn't even understand why it is doing what it is. I dont have the money to take to dealer or i wouldve already.
The truck just won't start. This has happened at least 3-4 times a year. I can't jump it, but the only solution is to let it sit, and hours later it starts. Sometimes if I disconnect the battery and then starts it works. I have had LOJACK look at it, and they say it is not the LOJACK. I am tired of worry what day this vehicle will not start, because it always happens at the worst time.
Nothing to say about this. Still pain in the ............ Just sad that American made Cars are not what they suppose to be or what they where long time a go

For the past two, almost three years, the battery has caused issues. It keeps draining out and the truck won't start. I've taken to many dealers and they've changed other parts, but the truck continues to not start. They say it's not the battery, then they decided to change the battery...and then more stuff was changed. Lastly, they changed the power modulator thinking that was the result. This part is the power for everything they tell me. I took the truck out of the dealer thinking the problem was finally solved after the past few years. The next day - it didn't start. The battery was again not giving any power. At this point, I am done. The only solution I could do to partially solve this was call Ram and Chrysler. Now I wait to see what happens.
Went to a movie came out and the truck would not start. Heard the a fuse blow, so I replaced. Tried to restart the fuse blew immediately, so I left the truck. Dealership towed the next day and replaced power module because it was faulty.
