Morning drive down the road to work and the drive shaft got detached from the rear axle gearbox and the rear wheels locked up in the middle of a busy road. Have low miles on it. Can't push or move the truck off the road until the tow truck arrives. Dodge dealer says parts have to be ordered and I am without my truck to get to and from my work for a whole week, may be longer. Although the repair is covered under the unlimited mileage Lifetime Warranty for this model year the frustration and inconvenience is pain in the a.... Dealer says it will not provide a loaner nor pay for a rental while it is in the shop.
The tow truck guy told me that he towed a Dodge Ram 1500 to the dealer with a similar problem the previous day. This problem should have been included in the recall of the 2005, 2009, 2010 models. This is outrageous.
