really awful
suspension problem
I have had most of the front suspension parts replaced and the problem still occurs, I have taken it to a few repair shops including a Dodge dealer and problem is still there. This needs to be rectified before someone gets killed or seriously injured.

Replace upper and lower ball joints and hubs as they went out. Hoped this might help the death wobble but IT happened again.
This violently shaking and bouncing of the front end can be reproduced at any imperfection in the highway at 65+ mph. The entire front end of the truck bounces and shakes violently. The ONLY way to stop the out of control shaking is to slam on the brakes and attempt to get to the shoulder of the road. On numerous occasions the traffic following my truck has been forced to take action to avoid plowing into the back end of my truck.
Dodge should be ashamed of the run around and misdiagnosis of this life threatening issue. I will be reposting each occurrence here. Will Dodge every stand behind it's products???? Owned this truck since NEW, done regularly scheduled maintenance and NOW this truck is undrivable!!
A friend asked to borrow it to move a piece of furniture 50 miles down I-75 but I did not feel safe in them driving it.

I was not informed of the Dodge Death Wobble until recently. I researched the problem online. Replacement of the various parts will solve the problem for a while .

We were going south on Interstate 81 doing about 70 mph crossed over a bridge when it started shacking really bad. My ac stopped due to the resistor cracked. Due to the ceramic part. Had to buy new resistor to the tune of $102.00. The hub caps even worked loose. This is the 3rd time it has happen to me. All I want is a fix for the problem I will buy what ever is needed. Tired of the beat around the bush.

Truck shakes violently at high speed when hitting bump. Problem appears to be the "Death Wobble". The shocks, tie rod end, steering stabilizer have been replaced with no effect. Center link replaced solved the problem for a couple of months. Now it's back. About to install a steering gearbox stabilizer and take a closer look at the track bar and the ball joints.

When the truck reaches 60 mph it begins to shake/wobble violently causing the vehicle to become extremely hard to control. If, I decelerate to about 35 mph the wobble slowly goes away but returns as soon as I reach 60 mph. Also if I hit any bumps in the road it is a lot worse.

I was driving on the highway doing 50 mph when I ran over a bump in the road, the truck began shaking uncontrollably, I had to slow down luckily no one was behind me, because I just hit the brakes because the truck was nearly uncontrollable. My daughter (7) and niece were in the back and they yelled what was that. It also occurred a couple days later while I was on a curvy road, I shiver every time I run over a pot hole fearing that it will start doing it again, this is ridiculous. I have always been a fan of Dodge, but this makes me rethink owning them. I can't believe Dodge won't fix these problems. I should not have to pay to fix this problem when it is so common in these trucks, obviously it is Dodge's problem to begin with.

Bought the truck used, it had 95k miles on it when I got it, now has about 130k on it. No death wobble problems until winter of 2014/2015. I put $2300 into the front end in Feb 2015 to remedy the situation, including:
- upgrading from pre-2008 Y-style steering linkage to 2008+ T-style linkage (tie rod, drag link, steering damper & pitman arm) - new track bar bushings - new steering knuckle ball joints - new front axle U-joints - new brakes & rotors
Problem went away for 6 months, then recurred. And now it is happening so frequently that I can't drive at highway speeds anymore. I'm relegated to driving the truck only locally.

When this issue first occurred I was shocked. I had to slow to 30 on the freeway. It has happened a few times but on November 12, 2015 it did it again. I was driving fine (upwards of 75 mph) on smooth freeway and hit bump at about 60 and the shaking (or Death Wobble) begin and I had to slow until 30. I would assume this was parts wearing out but I have done some internet research and have found this to be a design flow. My 1972 Dodge Charger had ball joint issues and air conditioning problems. I am well aware of problems. It sounds like Dodge has made an error in front end design and is more than happy to cover it up. I would appreciate it if Dodge would correct their mistake on my vehicle so I don't fear driving it.

A few times now I have driven the truck and out of the blue, the steering wheel has wobbled something horribly. Have had it looked at and have been told that they can't find anything wrong with it. We did put new brakes on it from the calipers all the way to the pads, but has still happened on occasion.

Driving 70Mph on interstate 70 and as I came off a bridge the truck began shaking violently. Had to head to the shoulder to regain control of the truck. This would have been an accident if there were several congested lanes.
