While at one of our favorite fishing lakes, here in New Mexico. I engaged the 4 wheel drive to get through the sandy area I was in. Sure enough the light began to flash that I had a 4 wheel drive problem and the it would not engage. There I was in a sand pit, not going anywhere. One wrecker and $400 later I was out of the sand pit.
Upon returning to Los Lunas NM I took the vehicle to the local dealer. I was informed that the front axle engagement servo was broken and had to be replaced. $800 later I again have 4 wheel drive.
