I just got back from the shop with my bran new control arm bushings. But alas, the rotors are warped after only two weeks of use. For some unknown reason the bran new calipers are locking causing the rotors to overheat and lock. The saving grace of this is the shop that did the work guarantees everything they do so all the labor and parts to figure this out will be free to me. The bad news is despite dumping all this money into it the truck still has the same problem.
I will NEVER buy another Dodge and am trying to come up with a way to get rid of the one I have.
Update from Apr 12, 2010: After a lot of patience and diligence the technician at the local auto shop figured out that my calipers weren't the culprit. It seems the after market pads were slightly off the OE specs intended and were sticking in the slides. He said he had to beat them out with a hammer because they were that stuck. So, he installed OE rotors, calipers and pads. I no longer feel a shudder (thanks to the bushing replacement) or a drag and loud squeaking from my breaks.
