My air bag light keeps coming on in my dash area. I took it to my dealer on 10-30-2017 ( they did the recall when I received my 1st notice ) got another one today. They told me no light was on at the time, so they said it was not related to the recall notice, and I would have to pay to have them look into it any farther. The light still comes on, so I contacted you. The truck is in motion when the light comes on. I'm scared the air bag may deflate while I'm driving my truck. Please help me solve this as soon as possible, the dealer refuses to go any farther with the recall !! thank you

'takata recall'. manufacturer recall number: R26 summary: The passenger airbag inflator housing may rupture, due to excessive internal pressure, during normal airbag deployment events. This condition is more likely to occur if your vehicle has been exposed to high levels of absolute humidity for extended periods of time. Safety risk: An inflator rupture could result in metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the vehicle occupant(s). Remedy: The passenger airbag inflator must be replaced. Recall status: Recall incomplete

Takata recall. Like many other Dodge 1500 owners, my dash has cracked and I cannot get the recall fixed. Because it is cracked the dealer wont touch the air bags even though it states serious injury or death can occur if not taken care of.

Takata recall I finally was able to find a dealer with parts for the recall and took my truck in for the repair. The service advisor called me to inform me that he could not assure me that further cracking of the dash wouldn't occur during the repair procedure. I said then if you damage it then I will hold you responsible. He said he could not proceed without me basically indemnifying him. I would not agree to that. The cracked dash is of itself a safety problem should the airbags deploy and send dash fragments flying. If they cracked it further, then it would be even more unsafe. I think takata has the responsibility along with Chrysler to fix the dash since the dash was made with inferior or defective materials as evidenced by the widespread issue with Dodge Ram dashes.

My husband took our vehicle a total of four times already and each time the dealership said the code had been changed as far as the replacement part(s) was concerned. The dealership said they had to wait for the part. We wasted our time and money on gas also just to be told this each time. This is our only vehicle that we have to drive. We feel we are just getting the run around, so why bother.

Takata recall. I have contacted dallas Dodge, my dealer multiple times and they still haven't replaced my airbag. I contacted them in June 2016 and was told I would have to wait again.they keep telling me that there is a shortage of airbags. I have the oldest vehicle in this recall and live in Texas which is in the most likely zone for this to happen. I am worried about my wife and grandchildren every time we drive this vehicle. Since this problem gets worse with the age of the vehicle and which zone you live in, I would hope that dallas Dodge would want to fix these vehicles first. Please help, my family needs it.
