I thought I was driving wrong. I love my truck but, damn the brakes just don't last. I have to replace my rotors and brakes every 5,000 miles. Yes I do haul a lot, that's why I bought the truck. I have spent over $6000 on brakes alone. Guess where it's at right now...yup getting new brakes. I am driving it over to look at a new Ford 350 with big brakes. First and last dodge ever.

Ram 1500 SLT 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

The first time I took the truck in the one of the sales men said that maybe I was too rough on the brakes. I then asked to speak to the manager and they turned the rotors for me for free. A few months later it started up again and again I went to see them. They offered to turn them again and I paid about $80.00 or so.

It started up again for the 3rd time and this time I replaced them for about $160.00 on my own and since them no problem. The truck now has 64,000 miles on it and runnning OK.

Looking at the 2009 and I just love it but, not sure if Dodge will stand behind this truck for small things like the cracked dash board and my problem with the rotors.

May look else where........
