Ram 1500 Sport 5.9L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 99,000 miles

I used a linkable chain and attached eyelets to each end after figuring out the proper length. Attached one end to the screws that attaches the cup holder to the dash and the other end to the cup holder itself with screws placed near the edge closest to the seat. It makes a drawbridge effect and supports the cup holder if you don't make the chains too long. Plus, the chain folds away when the cup holder is closed. It's cheap fix guess.
