My problem with this particular issue and has happened about 4 times today alone, the engine drops to only around 300 rpm and it normally idles around 650, and the battery becomes excessively low on power and the gauge drops only to about 8.5 volts and the interior accessories become weak on power, forcing me to hurtfully rev the engine to restore lost power. It is increasingly annoying and I find it that it's more harm on the engine to sustain itself at 300 with no power regeneration than it is to rev it to 4500-5000rpm. I have been told by a few friends of people who have the same generation Ram that will not idle without either dying or doing the same thing.
I do not care what is causing this issue, I just want to know what to replace so I can have a proper running vehicle again. It only started about a week ago and it persists every now and again.
