: the contact stated a strong smell of gas was in the vehicle and a leak was found in the plastic pipe from the fuel pump. The dealer has not been alerted.
Complaint about recall 97V199000, rollover valve to be replaced. The consumer stated his vehicle has a leak coming from the rollover valve, but when he took his vehicle to the dealer, he wa told his vehicle identification number was not included in the recall.
While shutting vehicle off fuel shutoff solenoid caught on fire. Restarted starter, and vehicle would not shut off even when turning key. Burned wires and was smoking under hood. Consumer finally got vehicle shut off. Dealer contacted.
Returned fuel line became bubbly due to being burned from resting against intake manifold. Fuel leaked out of the area where it was burned. This vehicle has a diesel engine.
