accessories - interior problem
This DASH is the BIGGEST piece of S** I've seen in my 45 years of driving. Little or big pieces have fallen behind the brake and made it vary hard to stop as well as the gas peddle. My girlfriend and I have both been cut by this bulls** dash. What a joke to say its not their problem - none of their other cars or trucks have this problem, just the ram. NICE JOB DODGE on passing the problem on to the people!!! Now for the truck, overall I love it and it has not let me down, except for the dash.

I also own a 96 Ram 1500 with same problem...
Also have 2 - 97 Ram 1500 with same problem...
This is very bad... I love Dodge Rams but the dash is terrible...

The truck is unbelieavably a good truck. I've had the interior redone for the headliner hung to the floor. The floor carpet has been replaced for it became uncleanable. The dash top has cracked uncontrollably and continuing to crack with pieces constantly falling inside and raddaling inside with every bump

IN 2010 I STARTED TO NOTICE THE DASH HAD MAJOR CRACKS THAT OVER TIME BEGAN TO BREAK AWAY. THIS WAS NOT CAUSED BY ANY KIND OF IMPACT FROM AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN ONE. THE DASH JUST STARTED CRACKING ONE DAY AND FROM THERE IT JUST CRUMBLED AWAY. I HAVE ROUGHLY 25% OF THE DASH LEFT, PROBABLY LESS.

The dash pieces are flying around falling into electrical and a piece flew into my face and scratched me while driving. Lucky it didn't fly in my eye!

Paid extra money at dealership for interior protection. Always took care of interior. Have seen many Dodge Ram trucks with this problem of the dash cracking out or caving in. Bought this truck brand new! Dodge should at least cover most of the cost of replacement of the dash top.

This dashboard is not made good enough to last as long as truck. And this could hurt someone if they fall forward or in a wreck etc. This should be a recall due to injury that could happen, the DODGE maker should not want to see anyone be hurt in ther trucks or cars. It makes a lot of sense for them fix these ASAP.Also I hope no one gets hurt and sue the DODGE Maker.

YOU CAN'T EVEN TOUCH THE DASHBOARD WITH YOU FINGER, THATS HOW BRITTLE IT IS. I HAVE TRIED TO FIND A PLACE TO BUY A REPLACEMENT FOR MY TRUCK AND YOU CAN ONLY GET THEM FOR 1998 AND NOW. THIS DIDN'T JUST START IN 1998 IT STARTED MUCH EARILER. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK DODGE PUT OUT. THEN THEY TRY TO GET YOU TO BUY ANOTHER DODGE RAM.

Sure would like help from the manufacturer on this… I’ve seen many older Dodge Rams with no issues with the dash… This is just the latest problem in a long list of other issues with this truck! Most of the others have been repaired at great expense to me! Disassemble all the dash modules and ducting to install another dashboard is a bit much. A cover won’t work if there is nothing there to support it! So the only other option available; Never buy another Dodge product!!!

Another bad dash. Hard to believe how bad these dashes crack in these Dodge Rams. Need to find a solution, don't want to put in another "stock OEM" dash that is just going to fall to pieces like the one that's in it. It's not just cracked it's falling apart big time!

When I bought the car last winter I saw the crack and didn't think much of it but now long after the summer I'm noticing another 2 more smaller cracks. Who knows when my dashboard will just crumble apart.

1996 Dodge Ram 1500. The dashboard is literally falling apart. It's super brittle, and fragile. I just touched a section today and a big chunk fell out. This is a safety issue. I know it's an old truck, but a dashboard falling apart? Really Dodge?
