Neon SXT 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,500 miles

What really makes me mad is that Tyson Motor in Shorewood said there was nothing wrong with the transmission on 7/10/09 and now, on 12/21/09 he said the car was never there for transmission problems and that it will cost $665 just to look at the car. I pulled my car from there and am having someone else fix it. However, I think Tyson Motor is liable for the cost of fixing my car. A mechanic told me there is no way that the transmission would have been fine in July and then bad in December. Transmissions just don't go out the fast. It had to have had the problem in July.

  • Automatic transmission

I was driving after work to pick up my children from daycare. All of a sudden, it was like the gear was thrown into neutral...so I pulled over, oh yeah, not to mention I was in a sh*tty part of town, by myself. So, finally the tow truck got there and took the car to the dealership. They called me this morning saying that it was gonna be $2200-$2300 to fix my car. My warranty was over at 70,000 miles, I hit 70,000 miles last week!!!! Sometimes I think they make these parts to go out right after the warranty expired...makes you think!!!!

Neon

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

After having this car for about 33 months and owing money on the car the transmission goes out. No lights, no fluid drainage, nothing no warnings at all. 65,000 miles, oil changes on regular basis, matter of fact just had complete tune-up about one month before the transmission went out. Unable to pay for a new one but still making payments. I thought Ford was bad, Dodge is worse.
