I own a 2004 Dodge Neon, took it into the shop to have the (Passenger) Front Left CV Axle replaced. Pulled out the part and it measures 41 1/8" in Overall Compressed Length. NO PARTS STORE SELLS THIS PART - NOR MANUFACTURER I CAN FIND MAKES THIS PART. Auto-zone, Napa, O'Reilly's, RockAuto.com, Carparts.com, etc. I and the shop (2 other mechanics) have searched the last 4 days solid looking for the right axle and may have found one from a donor car. BUT THATS IT, ALL THE CATALOGS ONLY SELL UP TO 37 and something inches. This isn't so much as a complaint as it is a warning to other Dodge Neon Owners. Don't waste your time in the catalogs for this year (2004) and get to the junk yard.
