Ok this car is really, really aggravating. Every time it rains, this car gets water on the inside. Not just sometimes but every time. That picture was the back floorboard with 1 1/2 inches of water. The mat is floating. I didn't take a picture of the water in the tire well which was half full or a pic of the backseat that was half wet with water. I can go take a pic of the backseat and show you the big stain from constantly getting wet tho.
We have put silicone around the rear window to see if that was the problem. Then we put silicone around the trunk seal to see if that was the problem. No fix, it still leaks. I looked on another site automotive forums.com, apparently this vehicle has the same problem with whoever owns it. Not just the 2003 either. Some on that site say you can take out the rear lights and put silicone around the seals, then replace the lights. I'm going to get that done before the next rain comes tomorrow. Hopefully that takes care of the problem.
Will you please put a recall and get these corrected. Who likes to drive a car that is constantly full of water in the rainy season. The back seat always gets wet and no one can sit on it unless it's covered up.Then if the floor has water in it you can't put your feet down. If you have water in your tire well, whatever is in there sits in water. The tire well cover has mold on it from not being able to dry out. The floor mats have mold on them underneath from not being able to dry out. If they keep getting rain on them. What a pain this car is. Plus it is all stained up from water going in there constantly.
The previous owner conveniently didn't tell me about the leaking problem. She had the back seat covered up with a blanket, she said could stay in there. Then when I said something she said that it leaked ever since she had it. Which she got from someone else, who probably didn't tell her. This car kept getting passed along without having the leaking problem fixed. So now I have a car with stained up seats and carpet, mold collecting, wet or full of water.Somebody please do something this isn't right. All I wanted was a little car that was good on gas. Not a rain collector.:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
