This car would have probably been a damn good car if the previous owner of it wasn't such a piece of sh*t.. When I bought it I had to get the Front Windshield replaced because the f*cker who had it before me punched the windshield like a damned fool and webbed it, then there is a dent in the Driver's door that I am pretty sure was caused by a really hard boot. The steering isn't as much f*cked up as it is interesting, I have had many opinions on my car about the steering, when you are driving down the road the steering wheel wobbles and the car shakes sometimes violently and sometimes not at all. I noticed it doesn't shake or not near as bad in the cold. The car also idles at about 25 - 30 mph. Yes it shifts it's self while it is in idle and it is kind of creepy and kind of nice to have for gas mileage. The speedometer works about 10% of the time and the gas gauge only works when you put gas in. I shouldn't say works.. it goes to a quarter tank and is on empty by the time you reach the end of the parking lot from the gas station. It has a gay nappy tore up bra on the front of it and I don't know if I should take it off because there is a nice little dent near the passenger headlight. I had to replace the battery cable headers because they were so corroded; the battery was sh*t so I had to replace it. All the belts sound as if they are going to tear when I started it up and turn it down. When I turn the steering wheel all the way left or right it makes an embarrassing screeching sound. The paint is peeling on the passenger door and trunk.. And paint on the Roof... forget about it, the only color is rust and the custom steel color before the car was painted. The ceiling on the inside is coming down as it would with any other vehicle that wasn't taken care of. The radio is custom put in but is sh*tty; I don't know what station I am on because there is no screen. The tuner dial for the radio is falling off so you can't really turn it, like it matters though the antenna or something probably just the radio.. Sucks dick and goes fuzzy while you are driving. The front passenger door screeches when you open and close it, the rest of the doors sound like they are going to fall off when they hit the latch to close. My transmission doesn't like to switch from third to fourth or second to third whichever is at 45 mph. I will have to actually listen to that and give the specifics. I put new snow tires on it, and now have to replace them with regular tires because the snow finally stopped for once. The steering wheel is tore to sh*t I had to wrap it with electrical tape just so I wouldn't tear my hands up and get a black residue all over them while I was turning or just driving for that matter. The emergency break doesn't work at all in the car so I am boned if I need to use it. I don't know if the air bags work but sometimes the light in my car for the air bags comes on when I tap the dashboard to attempt to get my speedometer to work so I don't get pulled over. It also sounds like a weld broke on the exhaust or something. The car makes an annoying high pitched tune sort of noise in rhythm whenever I turn on my AC or Heater. That's another thing. The heater, it is probably one of the only things in that car besides the dome light that work properly. The windshield wipers are torn up at the tips and only the driving side wiper works. I don't know if the starter has ever been replaced but it does work very well if it is the original 96 starter for the neon. The car has 93,000+ Miles on it, can't really be 100% sure on the exact miles because once again the speedometer doesn't work all the time so it could actually have like 200k+ Miles on it which wouldn't surprise me, it would actually make sense as to why the car is run down. In the end I guess I can't really complain I bought the car originally for $750.00 and the Women reimbursed me for the windshield, tires and battery that I had to put in it to make it drive-able. So in the end I paid $500.00 and got $500.00 worth of a car in return.
