I bought my 2006 Dodge Magnum on 11-19-2015. The tank was empty so I filled it up with no problems filling it. I've submitted another complaint about it dying after filling the tank. When I went to fill it up again I ran into a problem. The pump would cut off after 2-3 seconds. I thought it might be the pump so I tried another one and had the same thing happen. I even went so far as to try a different gas station but had the same exact problem. I talked with my neighbor who owns a 2007 Dodge RAM 1500 and he was notified by Dodge that there is a problem with a check value connected to the gas tank. He said there was a recall issued about this problem with his truck.
I called the dealer and was told there is no recall for my car concerning this problem. He told me I could bring the car in and leave it for 3-5 days while they diagnose the problem. They have a large back log of cars that need repair. He also told me it would be $115 to diagnose the problem.
I previously owned a 2005 Magnum RT and never had this problem. My only problem with that car was a drunk driver hit me head on while I was stopped in a center turn lane. Car was totaled.
