I could write a book and I all but have. Long story short. I have Chrysler Lifetime Bumper to Bumper Warranty which been the best investment I’ve ever made in my life. Most recent issue is that the car shuts off randomly and this is Avery well known issue. I’ll follow up soon with some saved notes. Honestly I’ve unearthed, with evidence, a systematic pattern of deceit, lying, misrepresentation. I was even one time made to believe that my warranty would not be honored because my address on file didn’t match the address I had given them. They had (Chrysler or the dealership) changed it and put in an otherwise unfamiliar address which turned to be the one time address of my ex wife and at that the address was accurate for her more than a year after NOT having a Chrysler
Product. Fast forward from then, 2014 I think to now when I recently read a bunch of complaints on the NHTSA website and other people had noted that they never got a letter that Chrysler was SUPPOSED to send out to owners with a certain VIN at first then it grew to almost all of the LX cars. This was in reference to the gas tank replacement lifetime warranty. Well my car shuts off but does t seem to have anything to do with fill ups. The address issue gave me a eureka moment. Tons of other owners noted that they had been in the same place for twenty years or more and did not receive the letter. Still others inquired at the dealership about the replacement and were either stonewalled or denied with false claims of wrong VIN etc. and this is just the BEGINNING OF THE STORY.
CHRYSLER IS IN DEEP DEEP DOO DOO. AND I HAVE DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE OF THEIR LIES, made up stories, deceit, playing dumb, fraudulent selling of parts to fix a problem when it had been very well established that would not fix the problem. Hell, they had me pay for catalytic converters when I truly did not believe they were bad, but I was told if I didn’t and another related part failed that any repairs needed would not be covered by my warranty, simply because I didn’t t believe the diagnosis and that turned out to be the ONLY NON WEAR ITEM NOT COVERED BY MY WARRANTY. FRAUD. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MOST IF THE TIME SINCE APRIL 15 till now, June 13. In that time I've driven it maybe 15 miles.
Class action lawsuit needs to happen. Together we can do something about this. Even if we don’t get what we deserve car or money wise, we will surely get some changes happening to prevent manufacturer from doing this ever again.
