CarComplaints.com Notes: This is a classic example of why you should avoid the first model year of a new car. Sure, it's new and shiny but there's going to be some growing pains.
The 2005 Magnum has problems with the gear shifter getting stuck, a shaky and sometimes stalled engine and transmission failure at 75,000 miles.
Let someone else deal with those headaches.

I Purchased this car as a used vehicle in july 2005.It only had 15000 original miles. So it was almost like a new vehicle.Since I owned this car I have never had a problem out of it,Until Now!! If Dodge knew that this was a problem or a recall on this vehicle,Then why should I pay for the repairs.I know that my vehicle is out of Warranty so now the repairs will be my expense. I called the Dealer and spoke with someone in the Service Dept. And that person said that it would be $300.00 To $400.00 for the Repairs. When I removed the center Console I found a Pink Colored Plastic Piece just laying there by the Gear Shifter.I don't know were it goes or were it came from. But this could be the cause of the Problem!!
