CarComplaints.com Notes: This is a classic example of why you should avoid the first model year of a new car. Sure, it's new and shiny but there's going to be some growing pains.

The 2005 Magnum has problems with the gear shifter getting stuck, a shaky and sometimes stalled engine and transmission failure at 75,000 miles.

Let someone else deal with those headaches.

The entire ac system actually quit the day I paid my last payment. Had it checked and was told that entire system was "dead" and needed to be replaced. Quote of almost $1,000. So now in 95+ degrees I have no ac. Only had heat stroke from it twice!

Magnum SXT 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 140,000 miles

I have had the compressor replaced twice within the past 2 years. I then had to have the cooler condenser replaced and now I'm told the evaporator replaced. This has been nothing but a nightmare over the last 2 years. There is more.
